The Dokai Koshuki was a report prepared by agents of the Tokugawa Shogunate. I'm not sure if all the Shoguns had these reports prepared or if it came only from the agents for Shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi. This report has come up in one of the discussions elsewhere, and I'd like to know if anyone has any links or book titles that lead to being able to read and study this report, particularly in English translation, so some of us Japanese-illiterate people could read it?

Thanks. Smile

土芥寇讎記(Dokai Koshuki)'s modern version was published in 1985, now out of print.

This book "Tonosama no Tsushinbo" refered the Dokai Koshuki:
Tonosama no Tsushinbo

If anybody got interested.
Those informations were gathered by Onmitsu(so-called Ninja?) and the documents were top secret in those days.

The Dokai Koshuki is the report only during Tsunayoshi's period.

Alas, I am Japanese-language-challenged. Which means I am completely illiterate in Japanese. Sad Just Kidding
