Shikisoku posted a link to a Yahoo special on old maps http://map.yahoo.co.jp/kochizu/maptop. The old map has information added to it like the location of the han and the size of the land. The Edo-map is from Bakumatsu, but anyway I tried finding some places about the Ronin on it.

Kira's mansion was in Honjo Matsuzaka 本所松坂.

Honjo Matsuzaka is just to the east of the bridge over the Sumida River (Ryokoku-bashi); the purple temple is in 本所松坂1-1.

Sengakuji 泉岳寺

To get different sizes, use the + and - marks on the map.
If you press minus about three times you get an over-all picture.
The river flowing into Edo Bay from the north is the Sumida River. Honjo
本所 is on the right, part way up the river.
Sengakuji is under 伊皿子 on the map, near the coast of the bay, about 3 km. south-west of the mouth of the Sumida.
Edo Castle is of course at the center of all those moats.

Some other places that might be interesting to see are the locations of are Asano's mansion and Uesugi's mansion, but of course the first is not on the map, and the 2nd I know nothing about. But if someone knows a description of the locations I could try to find the place.

Thanks! This is very helpful!

I just booked a trip to Japan for next September and I plan to visit Senkakuji Temple.
