But Ashi, according to Josh Badgley, our forum’s expert on historical gourmet and epicurean delights, 1718 was a very good year for whine and cheese. Apparently, the 果物の最下位 is just overflowing with it these days.

Josh was just lamenting on he’d love some fresh pineapple as it seems many of the regular diners here are tiring of having to constantly digest the abundance of whine and cheese. Heck, I’m even starting to think that even a flying banana of death would do. It would be curiously refreshing!

Aren’t bananas curved like katana anyway? Josh, whaddya think?

Now don't go bananas. I know everything hasn't always been peachy, but that's no cause for sour grapes. After all, what's the use of crying over spilt milk. IMO, we may need to water down our expectations. A good grilling may be fun, but season it with temperance. Might want to salt the threads some more, too.

I admit, something is fishy about those dates, but we can't just go nuts. Still, without sugar-coating things too much, there is a problem considering the Nambokucho period was much earlier. To say otherwise is to write yourself a recipe for disaster around here.

I know you are thinking "What does this have to do with the price of tea in China?" Well chew on this: you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.

And, Obenjo, don't dessert hope: you'll be needed soon enough.

Regarding the original thread, Shin no Sen's link pretty much covered it--go there and check it out. It seems to have everything you could want (and possibly things you don't).

Ah, what a smorgasbord of wonderfully tasty allegories! Very good, Josh! My compliments to the chef! Laughing
