Hi all,
Anyone seen or heard any reviews as of yet for "Hissiken Torisashi", the new film adaptation of a Fujisawa Shuhei story? It is in theaters in Japan now and looks quite good by the trailer!

No i don't think its even out there yet ,its one of 3 Shuhei adaptions slated for this year ,the other two are about female samurai one being a TV Movie and the other a film .
Anyway this one about a Samurai who kills his lord seems faster paced and more action driven than the usual Fujisawa stories .
Chances of seeing them in the U.S. very minimal. _________________ "One mans washing machine is another mans music "
The film actually came out in theaters in Japan on July 10th I believe.
I can't believe there is no word or review of this film yet online! It looks like one of the more promising samurai films since Yoji Yamada's trilogy. It is apparently being shown at the Montreal Film Festival later this month so hopefully that means we might see it some day here.

I Hope so ,Yamazakura just played in a few Art Houses around the U.S. but still no DVD release in sight sadly .
So i hope Hishiken gets good reviews and we may see it . _________________ "One mans washing machine is another mans music "
