Thankfully, the wise Takuan berates vendetta killings as 'selfish and nothing more than anger', definitely not right-mindedness. The trapdoor to the cellar remains intact...for now.

Indeed, beware of Wrong-Minded Bushido.

May I add that the illustrious Takuan also corresponded with the Abbess of Tokeiji, Tenshu Hotai, also known as Naahime, the daughter of Tokutomi Hideyori (and thus granddaughter of the Taiko). One letter of his is housed in the Tokeiji Museum in Kita-Kamakura.
