Hi

Since 1989 I study sengoku jidai era martial arts. Since quite a while, I also have my own dôjô.
Throughout the years, I tried to find a way to set up a good demo to promote my group.
In that time, the idea of something more grew... a combination of demoing, reenactment, living history and accurate historical cosplay.
At this point I'd like to slowly start gathering my equipment.
The historical character I chose is Hattori Hanzô, the general, advisor and guard of Tokugawa Ieyasu.
I have found two wood carvings, depicting him in a white yoroi. Alas, the tachi is hardly visible, and there is no kabuto to be seen either. The armor is drawn without much detail.

Are there remains of the armor, tachi and kabuto, and are there pictures available of them?

You no doubt have seen this woodblock of Hanzo? I don't lend credence to his being in a white armour, but, I won't say it isn't possible. John

Ah, yes. Thank you. I know that print. There is another one, very similar, also depicting him in a white yoroi. But there is very few detail on the prints.

I also have pictures of his favourite yari, from the temple he built, the Sainen-ji in nowadays Yotsuya, Tokyo.

I cannot find a picture of his kabuto though.

Some sources I found tell about antlers on his kabuto, but I can't find those sources anymore. Besides, just "antlers" is a bit meager a description.
