I know that as always wikipedia doesn't cite a single source other than the "documentary" itself.

...who were also known as The Last Samurais...

I'm going to shoot someone.

What interests me the most is the photograph shown ( http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e8/Samuraicover.jpg ) which has Beato's name on it.

I had no knowledge of that trip.

At first, I thought the photo looked fake, but then I realised it's only the low quality of wikipedia that does that.
The difference with the official site: http://www.rsk.co.jp/tv/wineroad/

It looks a lot more real there.

For people who wondered about A. Beato: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felice_A._Beato

Anyone saw the documentary in march?

Regarding that book (found in the link from Shikisoku), what could possibly take up undreds of pages? Are there journals, etc...?

The used copies are really cheap...may be worth it.

I found the TBS' site of the program.

Quote:
