Hey, I'm wondering about a good place to receive iaido training. I'm on the West Coast (Oregon), but am moving down to the SF Bay Area in the Fall. In any case, I'd like to know where the primo dojos are in the US in general, but CA would be particularly helpful. LA area is also a plus.

takuan,

Here is the million dollar question, what type of iaidou are you looking for?

平和、

I forgot how far away the dojo is, but the instructor at Chushinkan is really good.http://www.chushin.com/
I trained with Nakayama sensei and he is a really good instructor. He teaches both Aikido and Iaido. They teach Nishio Ryu iaido. I would say Kensho Furuya's dojo in LA, but it looks like he passed away.
