Sorry long day today.

I meant: am I the only one to not own or use photoshop?

I don't use Photoshop either. I just use the MS Paint software that comes standard with Windows as well as PowerPoint. 2 X Cool

Just imagine what I could do with it if I did have it. Laughing

I defintly need to work on a new costume for the 2008 reenactment season. Does anyone have a pattern for a sengoku era kataginu (like in SHogun), I only have the Edo period style.

It's rectangles, man. You don't need a pattern. Smile

Seriously, stop by the SCA-JML (SCA Japan Mailing List) on Yahoo Groups and look in our pattern file.

Onit. BTY how is the SCA when it comes to Japanese personas or ancient eras (Roman, Greek Persian)? I am debating on joining but I only put my time and effort into those two categories.

Well, there are quite a few (relatively speaking) into Japan in the SCA, but it is, ultimately, a medieval european organization.

The classical world is generally deemed TOTALLY out of period, but there are some late-period roman imperial folk, and a few who do Spartans (sigh)...

Ahh who can possibly hate the Spartans. There is a Roman reenactment group in town here, and a Japanese one but they seem shady. For that I think I would rather go solo.

Why don't you go as Mori Ranmaru again? Just Kidding Just kidding! If you were to do something along the lines of what Akaguma did, that would be cool. But if you are working on your costume, will this keep you from working on all those papers? Rolling Eyes

Well I wouldn't be working on it until next year so I am free to do papers. But my first work was accurate until most of the costume was destroyed via flood.
