It is required for a mod project for the game EU3:In Nomine whose start date is 1399. This mod had been done for 1453 start but, with new expansion, the new start date has become 1399.

So we are looking for clan leaders, clan provinces, alliances, vassalship, blood-ties between clans in 1399.

Any source of information, any reference about this date will be helpful.Smile

Note that I do not know Japanese Sad

Thank you

First, what sources have you looked at and what do you know about the period? It will help us to narrow things down.

At this point you are looking at control by the Ashikaga shogunate, specifically Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. It is a period of struggle between the ruling bakufu and the shugo-daimyo. Yoshimitsu had officially 'retired' from the office of shogun, but was still effectively controlling the government through his son. Yoshimitsu was consolidating and centralizing power in himself, and in less than a decade would be named 'King of Japan' by a Chinese embassy.

I recommend Kenneth Alan Grossberg's book on the "Japanese Rennaisance". Also look up John Whitney Hall's book on "Japan in the Muromachi Age" (with Toyoda Takeshi) and "Government and Local Power in Japan, 500-1700".

Especially we are searching for

-A map around 1399 (There is a good one [http://www.samurai-archives.com/shugo.html]in samurai archives. But some details are confusing about vassalship. For example, all greens are not under direct Askihaga control, i think. But which lands are Askihaga vassals? Same for Hosokawa and others.) Any extra map is always good.

-Clan leaders names and, if possible, with reign dates from 1399 to 1453. Only in 1399 is also big deal. Is there any list of leaders of clans in chronocially?

-Relations between clans (Wars, Alliances, Vassals and Core provinces)[Core province means a province that a country claims rights on it.]

Thank you.
