When typing a name such as Jihei (Jihee) or Gorobei (Gorobee) in IME, how do you get the 「兵衛」 to come up? I tried typing hei, hee, bei, bee, none of these worked...

I feel like this used to work, but now it doesn't (anymore).

I can get it to come up if I want to type '-emon' (衛門), as in Monzaemon. But not for the -ei/-ee names.

Okay, when I use Microsoft IME 10.0.6002.0, with a bias for names option, I find that "JIROUBEI" gives me the characters but "GOROUBEI" doesn't--which I find odd. No luck with GOROUHEI, GOROUHEE, or GOROUBEI, either.

However, if I use "HEIE" then I can find "HEI" and "E" separately to give the kanji that I want (and then it usually shows up again, if I'm using the same ones over and over).

Hope that helps.

I should have thought of that - using hei and e as separate characters. Thanks!

Also, I'd never used those "Bias for Names" options/settings. Good to know.
