Hi All,

The reviews for Kenji Misumi’s “The Last Samurai” keep rolling in. As many of you know, Kenji Misumi is the legendary director of four of the six films the “Lone Wolf and Cub” film series starring Tomisaburo Wakayama. We’ve got four really nice write-ups.

Be sure to check them out.

“One of the finest samurai films ever made…this is a must-have/must-watch-again-and-again.”
- Patrick Galloway, Author of “Warring Clans, Flashing Blades: A Samurai Film Companion”

“The last production helmed by Kinji SHOGUN ASSASSIN Misumi is quite possibly the man's best work. It's easily the best film of his now legitimately available body of work…”

“This is a classic samurai film by award-winning writer-director Kenji Misumi and it gets the treatment it deserves in this excellent DVD. It rates an A.”

“Forget about that silly 2003 movie starring Tom Cruise; the real The Last Samurai is Kenji Misumi’s 1974 film… Misumi is the king.”

We can all agree that this should be in everyone's top 10 list ,for myself its pretty flawless and i am very glad it finally has a domestic release .

RE The reviews its kinda sad they only remember Misumi for Nemuri,Lone Wolf and Zatoichi ,seriously the man directed Samurai Vendetta (Chronicle Of The Pale Cherry Blossoms ,The first two Daibosatsu Toge films in the Trilogy and Sword Devil to name a few on his CV .

Good job Neptune whats next?, how about Hanchiro (2010) yes the very same character as in Misumi's Last Samurai he actually has been featured in many TV Movies and Taiga Dramas like Tobe No Gotoku or any film, drama on Saigo Takamori .
Or Hittokiri (Tenchu) that is "The other great Bakumatsu Film " not to mention the Misumi/Mori Daibosatsu Toge (Satan's Sword )Trilogy .
