I know quite a few of you out there probably already know of these films. However, I have just discovered them. I have never been a "ninja" movie fan. Mainly bcause of the type of product that was produced in the 70s and 80s. I have seen the first five, and if ninja films had to be made, these are the kind of shinobi (ninja) films I always wanted to be produced. I am enjoying them very much.
There are eight in this series, and all eight are now free on youtube. I am providing the links for all eight below.

Actually 9 in the series the last one "Mission Iron Castle "with Matsukata (Who funny enough is in trouble again this time for his Mob Connections )replacing Raizo.
The irony is it actually the best in the whole franchise ,I say irony because at best Matsukata was considered a poor replacement and Castle is the only one of the 5 Raizo projects that not only is good but great .

Meanwhile, in other ninja news:

Would have been nice if they didn't cite Prof. T-bull, but... whaddayagonnado.

"Why Americans Became Obsessed with Ninjas"
I read the whole text but there is no clear answer.

By the way
Quote:
Though Americans tend to associate ninjas with Japan, the word ninja actually comes from a Chinese pronunciation of the two characters "nin" and "sha" (忍者)

Is he/she(?) saying 忍者 existed in China??
Or just saying Chinese characters came from China?

They're saying it's the 音読み rather than the 訓読み.

Since 音読み in Japanese is related to the Chinese pronunciation, it's sometimes called the "Chinese-style" pronunciation, whereas 訓読み is called "native Japanese reading."

That's all. They're being lazy and misleading in saying "Chinese pronunciation," but all they really mean is "Chinese-style pronunciation," *in Japanese*.

Or so I'd assume.

Actually, I'd assume that they don't quite understand what 音読み means, and so they think the word actually did come from China. When in doubt, it's best to assume people are stupid.

This really is the start of the ninja boom. Sadly.
I think I have to see this again.

Susan George and her husband. She was hot. Melissa George is in action flicks now. Even hotter. John
