That was simply amazing. I do Iaido and I have never seen those waza before. Perhaps they're in one of the Ultra Secret Levels. Laughing

By the way did you happen to see one of the other videos by this master of iai. The one where him and his friend are in the parking garage and the other guy is doing some sort of psuedo-fencing stance. Great Stuff. I can't wait to get lessons from this guy.

Yeah and in the same clip they prove that there was,a dn still are, LEFT handed samyrai Curses!

That's what I was going to bring up. An Aikijujitsu friend of mine said there were no left handed Samurai. Not true?

Hometutor,

Well, I can not verify the historical validity of this but tradition states that no swordsmen are trained left-handed. Even if you are naturally a lefty you are trained to use the sword as if your were a righty.
One of the reasons told to me was that samurai, at least in the Edo Period, would pass each other on the right so that the saya would not bang together if they were too close. If you wanted to quickly start a fight you would pass in such a way as to cause the saya to hit them. The equivilent of a slap in the face.
